I visited the Headlands Lodge & Spa in Pacific City Oregon for a girl’s trip with my sister and our friend Jensyn. It was such a perfect getaway and definitely a much needed trip! Pacific City is one of my favorite beach towns to visit on the Oregon Coast. The next time I visit, I will definitely be staying at Headlands again!
New Orleans Travel Guide: Where to Eat, Stay & Play
By Esperanza on May 27, 2018While visiting my best friend Elle in Florida, we decided to take a road trip to New Orleans for the weekend! I have always wanted to visit New Orleans so I’m really glad I got the chance to visit with Elle. It was a super quick trip but we manage to squeeze in so much! New Orleans is such a cool city with so much culture and color around every corner. It’s one of those cities that has something beautiful to photograph everywhere. Totally Instagram worthy! 😉 In this blog post, I’m sharing where we stayed, ate, and the places we visited.
I recently got back from a trip to Pensacola, Florida to visit my friend Elle. Elle has been my best friend for over 12 years but she is in the Air Force so we only get to see each other about once a year and mainly stay in touch by phone. She was stationed in Pensacola for some training so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to spend some time together! I wanted to share some of my favorite things we did and restaurants that we ate at while in Pensacola.
Now that I am a full time blogger/content creator working from home, I have trouble stepping away from work to focus on dinner. (Trust me I’m working on it!) I’ve always believed in eating healthy; home cooked meals. It’s easy to decide to go out for dinner or eat fast food when your busy, but the truth is that it’s not very good for you. I think it’s so important to know exactly what’s in the food that your eating. That’s why I’m thrilled that I’ve found Village Harvest!
Recently I got the chance to visit the Centrl Eastside office in downtown Portland. Centrl is a co-working shared office and work space. The offices are located on the first three floors of Slate, a housing and workplace collaboration. I’ve always loved the idea of a shared office space. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for The Urban Darling as my business grows. I love being able to work from home but sometimes it would be nice to have an office to go to everyday to separate work from my personal life.
Mother’s Day is coming up real soon guys! This year I’m on top of it with the gift ideas. I hate scrambling at the last minute to find a present but let’s be honest, life gets crazy and sometimes we drop the ball. That’s why I thought I would come up with a Mother’s Day Gift Guide to help you guys out! There is definitely a present here for every type of mom and price range. The best part is that all of these presents are from Amazon and most of them are eligible for Prime which means they’ll arrive at your house in only 2 days! It’s a total life saver sometimes. Now let’s go shopping for mom! 😉
I have been wanting to get my eyelashes lifted for so long now and I finally got them done at Lash & Beauty Lab in downtown Portland. Just a little back story on my eyelashes; I do have long lashes however they do not hold a curl. When I use a mechanical curler, my eyelashes will fall out of the curl in about an hour. Mascara works a bit better but I’ve never been able to find the perfect one for my lashes. I first heard about lash lifts from a Youtuber that I follow and I thought it would be the perfect solution for me! I thought I would put together this blog post for those of you who who may be interested in getting a lash lift.
Living Sustainably: Project Re-Made with thredUP
By Esperanza on April 19, 2018Who doesn’t love a good thrifted outfit? Thrifting has become so popular today for good reason. A thrifted outfit is trendy, saves you money, and it’s sustainable! Today I’m sharing an outfit I put together with some of my favorite thrifted pieces to kick off Project Re:Made with thredUP.
Rocio and I got the chance to go glamping at The Vintages in Dayton, OR. You guys, this vintage trailer resort is the CUTEST glamping spot. We had so much fun getting dressed up in vintage inspired outfits (of course), hanging out in our trailer, and riding cruiser bikes. The Vintages are about an hour from our home in Portland so it was the perfect weekend getaway! Rocio and I both love photography and videography so we took advantage of the cute surroundings. I’m so excited to share these photos with you!
InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco Hotel Review
By Esperanza on April 13, 2018On our recent trip to San Francisco, we stayed at the the InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel. The glamorous InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel is located on beautiful Nob Hill, which makes for some amazing views of the city! You’ll know you’ve arrived when you spot the grand entrance on the corner of Mason and California. The entrance is designed for cars to drive in and be handed off to valet. Red carpet stairs lead you into the luxurious lobby boasting crystal chandeliers, marble tile floors, and velvet armchairs. I was immediately transported to a more elegant time when I stepped in!
