Rocio and I love crafting and DIY’s, especially seasonal ones, so I thought I would throw a Fall DIY craft party so that we could make some fun, festive decorations to spruce our space up. We invited some friends over to join the fun too!
Dinner is my favorite meal of the day because I usually get to sit down and enjoy it with Schyler and my sister Rocio. Rocio is a busy lady with work and school so when she does get to join us for dinner, it’s extra special. We like to make something super yummy that we can all enjoy. It’s the perfect way for us to spend time together and wind down for the evening. Dinnerly, a meal kit subscription, has made dinner time even more fun and delicious for us!
I loveee the fall season! Especially fall activities like visits to the pumpkin patch, corn mazes, and apple picking. I know it’s only September and I’m a bit premature, but I already made my first visit to the pumpkin patch! I know, I know, call me crazy (or brilliant!). Overalls are one of my favorite things to wear because they really give you that casual/cool look plus they are so easy to throw on! They’re also the perfect piece to transition into fall. Overalls look so cute with long sleeves, hats, and booties. I love this photo shoot that I did with Orlova Maria, a new photographer to the Portland area. She captured these overalls perfectly!
I first learned about EverlyWell when I saw them on Shark Tank (Schyler’s favorite show!). I decided to take a last minute trip to Seattle for the weekend with my sister Rocio and our friend Jensyn. Jensyn had only been to Seattle once before, so we wanted to hit most of the major spots! We stayed with my parents who have a boat docked in Seattle near the space needle. To avoid driving and parking around the city, we took the monorail from the space needle to downtown. It was only $5 round trip! The first spot we hit was the infamous gum wall.
I don’t know about you, but I am a total summer person! There is something so nostalgic about warm summer nights, the smell of sunscreen, and the sun on your skin. I think it just reminds me of my childhood. I would count down the days till summer break every school year! That’s why I always try and enjoy every last drop of summer by checking off my #SummerBucketList. To stay in that summer state of mind as we transition to Fall, my friends and I decided to take a last minute road trip to the beach! We decided to visit Manzanita on the Oregon Coast because none of us had ever been there before. It was picture perfect!
One of the things that I love most about Portland are all the coffee shops! I’ve been to a ton of cities in the United States and in my opinion, none of them have as good of a coffee scene as Portland does. I guess we just love coffee over here! Aside from serving amazing coffee, Portland coffee shops put a lot of thought in designing beautiful spaces to enjoy your coffee in. In my opinion, the aesthetic is equally as important as the coffee! In this series, I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite Portland coffee shops with you guys. Today, I am talking about Peaks Coffee on Hawthorne.
Slowly but surely my apartment is coming together the way that I want it to! The most recent update has been in my bedroom. I don’t know about you guys, but my bedroom is always the last room to get decorated! I guess it makes sense because guests that are visiting aren’t going to be hanging out in your room right?! Bedrooms should be a happy place to escape to, which means that they should be as carefully designed as every other room in the house! My bed was in need of a fun throw blanket and pillows which I found from Mae Woven. Now my bedroom feels so much cozier and put together!
